About the Role

The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its Cybersecurity Operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and driving the strategic vision and framework of the team in line with the evolving cyber threat landscape. This role involves leading a cross-functional department dedicated to proactive threat detection, rapid incident response, and advanced forensic capabilities. The Executive Director will also oversee the firm's cyber incident response, the development of cybersecurity controls, and the integration of offensive cyber activities to enhance the overall security posture. Talent management, vendor relationships, and executive reporting on security posture are also key responsibilities. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and at least 15 years' experience in cybersecurity, particularly within the financial sector. A strong background in cybersecurity leadership, including 10 years in leadership positions, is required. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing and providing oversight of critical vendors, as well as comprehensive hands-on experience with various security tools and platforms. Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH are highly desirable. The role demands a leader with a detailed understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance, and industry standards in cyber operations, and a reputation as a trusted executive in the cybersecurity field. The candidate should be a decisive, innovative, and change-oriented leader, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively in a matrix organization.
