Receiving ClerkBerkeley, IllinoisType: Temp to HireData EntrySalary: $20 Per HourJob DescriptionReceiving ClerkThe Receiving Clerk will act as a liaison between the accounting department and the shipping department. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for jobs being billed on time, freight costs being properly applied to their job number within Pace and that all support for freight costs and received purchase orders are received and delivered to the correct party, i.e. accounting, PM/CSR, corporate accounts payable department and/or project managers. This position will be part of the material management team, working in the material management department.Responsibilities:Utilizing the shipping system to process shipments, including packages and skidsLoading and unloading delivery trucks if neededOperating a forkliftReceiving paper and other print related suppliesUtilizing the PO system to output purchase orders to confirm proper product is being receivedCommunicating quickly and clearly and discrepancies or damaged productStudies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receivable standardsHelp with daily workload of jobs running and ensuring details are followed on packaging and labeling of finished productHelp coordinate shipping of jobs to and from outside vendorsCommunicate details of shipping information are not on the job ticketOversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipmentsDirects movement of shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage and work areasStudies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of subordinatesAdjusts errors and complaintsBe available to cover for different areas of the department when neededPerform all other duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or equivalent5 – 10+ years of work experienceRequires use of proper body mechanics with pushing, pulling, reaching, lifting, squatting, kneeling and bending.Requires 4 – 6 hours per day at CRT screen or other office machines.Requires fine motor hand and arm movement, manual dexterity and coordination.Requires near visual acuity.Requires working around and operating departmental equipment.Requires the ability to function in a professional manner under stressful circumstances.Hours may vary depending on departmental staffing needs.Must comply with dress code of department/company.$20.00-22.00/hr6am-230pm or 7am-730amBackground/Drug Test/ EverifyTemporary to HireBerkeley, IL 60163
