Production OperatorMebane, NC 27302Employment Type: Contract to PermPay Rate: $18.84 / hourLocation: Mebane, NCShift: Day Shift 6:30a-7p 2-2-3 SchedulePosition Summary: Responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment in the Bear Department to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to established quality and food safety standards. The Production Operator works closely with the production team to maintain consistent product flow and meet daily production goals.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Operate and monitor production equipment throughout the manufacturing process.Follow established recipes, work instructions, production procedures, and safety guidelines.Monitor equipment settings and make routine adjustments to maintain proper production flow.Inspect products throughout the process for quality, appearance, weight, and consistency.Identify and remove defective or non-conforming products.Load raw materials and packaging materials into equipment as required.Monitor machinery for jams, malfunctions, or unusual operating conditions and report issues promptly.Assist with equipment changeovers, line startups, shutdowns, and cleaning.Perform routine quality checks and accurately record production information.Complete required production, quality, and sanitation documentation.Follow all GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures.Maintain a clean and organized production area.Work with other Production Operators, Process Operators, and supervisors to maintain efficient production.Meet established production, quality, safety, and efficiency standards.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Previous food manufacturing or production experience preferred.Experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment is a plus.Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn production equipment.Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions.Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.Basic math and measurement skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.Dependable attendance, strong work ethic, and willingness to work as part of a team.
