Pay Rate: $60/hr straight time | $90.00/hr OT (anything in excess of 40 per week) Mobilization: Miles at the government rate, meals ($68/day receipts not required), travel time at the ST rate, and any lodging expensed back according to receipts. Home Leave: Home leave is provided once a month after initial 8 months; travel expenses (mileage or flight) reimbursed. Estimated Hours: Approximately 60 hours over the course of the project but schedule to follow typical startup. We will be working under the direction and control of the client, and they will dictate the schedule. Hours will fluctuate week to week. Project Overview The Client’s Construction Manager is seeking Contract Preservation Technicians to execute manufacturer-prescribed equipment preservation activities and support arrival inspections at the project site. Working under the direction of the on-site Commissioning Foreman and the Client’s Project Executive, these technicians will maintain an active preservation program for critical MEP equipment from date of receipt through L3 commissioning handoff. The role is a fit for detail-oriented field professionals with mechanical or electrical maintenance backgrounds. Key Responsibilities Review manufacturer-issued preservation requirements for each equipment type upon receipt and create a preservation record card per asset (asset ID, make/model, SN, receipt date, preservation intervals, responsible technician) Perform and document initial preservation activities at receipt: rotate shafts, check oil levels, verify desiccant status, and confirm space heater circuits are active on energized equipment Execute scheduled preservation checks at manufacturer-required intervals (typically weekly to monthly); complete activities for generators, switchgear, UPS systems, CRAC/CRAH units, and chillers per their respective schedules Log all preservation activities in the master preservation log (asset ID, activity performed, date, technician signature) and alert the Client’s Project Executive of any equipment approaching or exceeding service intervals Support arrival inspection workflow: receive and inspect OFCI/CFCI equipment deliveries, verify identity against the Master Equipment List (MEL), photograph equipment, record desiccant/humidity indicator status, and assist with completing Arrival Inspection Reports Coordinate access with MEP trade contractors for equipment located in energized or restricted areas; follow all site safety protocols when working in proximity to energized systems Provide the Client’s Project Executive with a weekly preservation status summary identifying completed, upcoming, and overdue preservation items Maintain organized records and support compilation of the closeout preservation binder/package for Client owner turnover at L2 completion Participate in daily and weekly coordination meetings as directed by the Client’s Cx Lead or project Foreman Comply with all site safety programs, OSHA requirements, and Client safety protocols Ideal Candidate Profile Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electrical maintenance, equipment servicing, or field technician experience on commercial, industrial, or construction projects Familiarity with equipment preservation concepts and maintenance documentation; experience with generators, UPS systems, switchgear, HVAC/cooling equipment, or similar critical MEP assets preferred Ability to follow manufacturer service manuals and owner-approved preservation procedures; comfort with structured recordkeeping and logging activities on standardized forms Basic familiarity with equipment receiving and inspection processes; ability to cross-reference equipment nameplates and serial numbers against a Master Equipment List Data center, mission-critical facility, or industrial plant maintenance background preferred; candidates with hands‑on experience servicing UPS, generators, switchgear, or precision cooling equipment will be prioritized #J-18808-Ljbffr
