About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in ICU License: Active RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: - 2 years of ICU experience - Epic charting experience Description: This position offers an opportunity to work in a cardiovascular intensive care unit. The unit provides care to patients aged 16 and older with primary cardiac diagnoses. Patient diagnoses include heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, and cardiothoracic surgery. Nurses will manage complex cases requiring strong cardiovascular experience. The unit consists of both cardiovascular intensive care and intermediate care beds. The multidisciplinary team focuses on delivering exceptional patient care. Advanced certification is encouraged and supported. Training programs are available covering beginner to advanced cardiovascular intensive care. Key skills include arterial line management, bi-level positive airway pressure (BiPAP) management, and ventilator management. Additional skills include central line management, cardiac drips titration, and management of dysrhythmias. Nurses will work with advanced equipment and procedures such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and ventricular assist devices. Travelers may be required to float within the facility or to affiliated facilities. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
