Sports & Medical Massage Therapist / Myofascial Specialist The Physio Collective / Physio On the Go San Diego County, CA Full-Time | Part-Time | Contract Position Available Join a Collaborative Wellness Team Focused on Helping People Move, Recover, and Perform at Their Best The Physio Collective is seeking an experienced and passionate Sports & Medical Massage Therapist to join our growing team of physical therapists, wellness providers, and movement specialists. We are looking for a highly skilled therapist who can provide a variety of hands-on treatment approaches to support recovery, pain relief, mobility, athletic performance, and overall wellness. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with active adults, athletes, post-operative patients, chronic pain clients, and individuals seeking proactive wellness care. This is an exciting opportunity to build your own caseload within an established concierge wellness practice that values individualized care and interdisciplinary collaboration. What You'll Do Provide Services Including: Sports Massage Medical Massage Deep Tissue Massage Myofascial Release Trigger Point Therapy Recovery and Performance Massage Assisted Stretching Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM/Scraping) Cupping Therapy Lymphatic Drainage / Lymphedema Support Post-Surgical Recovery Massage Scar Tissue Mobilization Mobility and Recovery Sessions Prenatal and Postpartum Massage (if trained) Responsibilities Perform thorough client assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. Utilize a variety of manual therapy techniques based on client goals and presentation. Work collaboratively with physical therapists and wellness providers to support treatment outcomes. Educate clients on recovery strategies, mobility, self-care, and injury prevention. Maintain accurate treatment documentation and client communication. Contribute to wellness events, workshops, and community outreach opportunities. Ideal Candidate We are seeking a therapist who combines exceptional hands-on skills with a client-centered approach and a desire to continue learning. Required Qualifications Current California Massage Therapy Certification (CAMTC) Strong foundation in anatomy, biomechanics, and movement Experience performing sports and therapeutic massage Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team Professional, reliable, and growth-oriented mindset Preferred Qualifications Advanced training in: Myofascial Release Sports Massage Deep Tissue Techniques Cupping Therapy Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM) Lymphatic Drainage Oncology Massage Prenatal Massage Post-Surgical Recovery Active Release Techniques (ART) Stretch Therapy Experience working with: Athletes Orthopedic injuries Chronic pain conditions Post-operative patients Lymphedema clients Active aging populations What Makes This Position Unique One-on-one client sessions Flexible scheduling options Opportunity to build and grow your own specialty services Concierge and mobile treatment opportunities Referrals from an established physical therapy and wellness practice Collaborative environment with physical therapists and other wellness professionals Ability to blend recovery, performance, rehabilitation, and wellness services Compensation & Benefits Compensation is competitive and based on experience, certifications, specialties, and employment structure.
