Job Overview A law firm seeks a Full‑Time Associate Attorney in Mankato, MN, with 0‑5 years of experience to manage a caseload split between family law and another practice area aligned with the candidate's background and interests. This role offers the opportunity to develop a well‑rounded legal practice, working on diverse matters while receiving mentorship from experienced attorneys. Responsibilities Manage a mixed caseload of family law and another substantive practice area. Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, motions, contracts, or agreements. Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, negotiations, and administrative proceedings. Provide clients with timely and clear communication regarding their cases and legal options. Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure effective case management. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in the State of Minnesota. 0‑5 years of experience in family law and/or another practice area. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in family law matters. Background in any of the firm's other practice areas. Familiarity with mediation and alternative dispute resolution. Skills Strong interpersonal and client‑relations skills. Excellent written and oral communication. Adaptability and interest in expanding knowledge across multiple practice areas. Attention to detail and strong organizational ability.
