Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x10-Hour Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years of experience required License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Interventional scrub experience - Level 1 trauma experience in a high volume/high level of acuity environment - Minimum of one year of electrophysiology experience required Description: This position requires a Registered Nurse to work in the cardiac catheterization laboratory. The nurse will provide conscious sedation under the guidance of the attending physician. Responsibilities include handing off sterile supplies, assessing patient vitals, and documenting care. The nurse may cross-train to monitor hemodynamics in a technical role. The patient population includes adults, with common diagnoses such as AMI, chest pain, heart failure, and NSTEMI. Procedures performed in this setting include diagnostic cardiac catheterization, percutaneous coronary interventions, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement. All staff must be willing to rotate call, which includes evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. Floating within service lines may be required to meet facility needs. A background in using an Epic documentation system is essential for this role. Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality patient care. Weekend coverage is required on an every other weekend schedule.
