Summary Robert Stuart Middle School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Machine Learning Teacher. In this role, you will inspire and educate students in the fundamentals of machine learning, artificial intelligence, and data science. You will create an engaging curriculum that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and problem‑solving skills, preparing students for future opportunities in technology and innovation. Responsibilities Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum focused on machine learning concepts, algorithms, and applications. Create lesson plans that incorporate hands‑on projects, real‑world examples, and interactive learning experiences. Teach students how to use programming languages and tools relevant to machine learning, such as Python, TensorFlow, and Scikit‑learn. Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and exams, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey. Foster a classroom environment that encourages collaboration, curiosity, and a growth mindset among students. Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and education technology to enhance teaching methods. Organize workshops, guest speaker sessions, and extracurricular activities related to machine learning and technology. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate machine learning concepts across the curriculum. Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Education, or a related field. Proven experience in teaching or tutoring, preferably in a middle school setting. Strong understanding of machine learning concepts and techniques, with the ability to explain them in an accessible manner. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in machine learning, such as Python. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learning styles. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. Commitment to fostering a love for learning and inspiring students to pursue careers in technology and science. All recommendations for hire are tentative offers.
