2nd Grade Teacher

Summary Filer Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a 2nd Grade Teacher. This full-time position requires a commitment to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, effective teaching strategies, and a passion for inspiring young learners. Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with state curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles. Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation, collaboration, and respect. Assess and evaluate student progress through regular testing, assignments, and observations, providing timely feedback to students and parents. Foster a love of learning by incorporating creative and hands-on activities into the curriculum. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities. Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to enhance the educational experience and address the needs of all students. Maintain classroom management and discipline in accordance with school policies. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices. Support the social and emotional development of students, promoting a positive classroom culture. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Valid teaching certification/license for elementary education or the ability to obtain one. Previous experience teaching in a classroom setting, preferably at the elementary level. Strong knowledge of child development and effective teaching methodologies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. Passion for working with children and a commitment to their academic and personal growth.
