Job Summary Morningside Elementary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a 4th Grade Teacher. The ideal candidate will create a positive and engaging learning environment that fosters academic growth and social development for all students. This full‑time position requires a commitment to nurturing a love for learning, promoting critical thinking, and implementing innovative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles. Responsibilities Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and meet the needs of diverse learners. Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration. Assess and evaluate student progress through various methods, including formal assessments and informal observations. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and academic needs. Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance the educational experience and share best practices. Integrate technology into the classroom to enhance learning and engage students. Manage classroom behavior effectively, implementing positive behavior support strategies. Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational trends and best practices. Foster a love for reading and writing through engaging activities and literature-based instruction. Organize and participate in school events, including parent‑teacher conferences and community outreach programs. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field. Valid state teaching certification for elementary education. Experience teaching at the elementary level, preferably in 4th grade. Strong understanding of child development and effective instructional strategies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create a positive classroom environment that promotes respect and inclusivity. Proficiency in using technology and educational software to enhance learning. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
