Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Seeking experienced Registered Nurses for IMC/PCU/Stepdown units to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates will be responsible for monitoring and managing patients with complex health conditions.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assess patient conditions and administer medications, including titratable drips such as cardizem, amio, nitro, heparin, dopamine, dobutamine, and angiomax.
  
  
• 
  Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes; interpret telemonitors and print strips as needed.
  
  
• 
  Provide patient care activities including ADLs, vitals, bathing, toileting, feeding, repositioning, and answering call lights.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and respiratory therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient management.
  
  
• 
  Troubleshoot and manage respiratory equipment including vents, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow devices; assist with respiratory treatments.
  
  
• 
  Document patient assessments, treatment plans, and responses accurately and timely.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid, unexpired drivers license required for submission.
  
  
• 
  Must have at least 2 years of recent Stepdown/PCU nursing experience.
  
  
• 
  Hold current BLS and ACLS certifications.
  
  
• 
  Proficient in cardiac monitoring and management of cardiac drips.
  
  
• 
  Ability to interpret telemetry; experience in managing cardiac conditions such as post-PCI, seizures, ETOH CIWA protocols, pacemakers, and related diagnoses.
  
  
• 
  Comfortable working in a 24/7 ICU environment, with experience in titrating and troubleshooting ventilators and respiratory devices.
