Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Physician Assistant, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Seattle, specializing in diagnosing and treating a wide array of Emergency Medicine cases, making a significant impact on their lives and families. You will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well-being of our patients and their families within Franciscan Medical Group.

To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, board-certified, and compassionate Physician Assistant, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex ED patients, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient-centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment.

• Provide high-quality emergency medical care, including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients.

• Work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions.

• Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.

• This is a .80FTE position. Shifts are 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM

• Work side-by-side with dedicated night Emergency Physicians on overnight shifts.

• 24,000 annual visits in a moderate-acuity urban ED.

• Exceptional specialty support for seamless patient care.

• Comprehensive Stroke Center with onsite Neurohospitalists.

• Regional Hyperbaric Medicine Referral Cente r, offering unique clinical exposure.

Job Requirements

Required

• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) with prescriptive authority in the State of Washington.

• Minimum one year of Emergency Medicine or Critical Care experience

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
