Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Perimeter Observation in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and deliver exceptional customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Through clear communication, teamwork, and integrity, you will help foster a welcoming campus atmosphere while representing our agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture.

- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate campus personnel and emergency responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and observe campus activity, reporting suspicious conditions, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues according to site procedures.
- Complete clear and accurate reports, daily activity logs, and incident documentation while providing a professional presence throughout the educational location.
Minimum Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
