Accounting and Reporting Manager POST NUMBER: 483147

We are recruiting an Accounting and Reporting Manager for a growing company – this is a new role due to growth. Responsibilities

• Prepare and review recurring financial reporting packages, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to support month-end and year-end close activities while maintaining compliance with GAAP and applicable insurance accounting standards.
• Assist with external audits by preparing schedules, responding to auditor requests, and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Reconcile financial activity, investigate discrepancies, and partner with internal teams to resolve outstanding items.
• Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, reporting procedures, and internal controls to support a scalable finance organization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Technology, and other business partners to improve reporting accuracy and streamline workflows.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve the efficiency of accounting and financial reporting activities.
• Support special projects related to systems implementations, process improvements, and organizational growth.
• Contribute to the continued development of a best-in-class accounting function within a rapidly expanding business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA in process preferred.
• Three or more years of progressive accounting experience within the insurance industry or public accounting serving insurance clients is required
• Working knowledge of GAAP, statutory accounting principles, financial reporting, audit support, and account reconciliations.
