Assistant Controller POST NUMBER: 482135

We are recruiting an Assistant Controller to join a rapidly growing company in a newly created position.  This is a highly visible, hands-on role that will be responsible for overseeing key accounting operations, managing the close process, supporting financial reporting, and driving process improvements across the organization.  The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong technical accounting knowledge, leadership experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and provide insights to finance leadership.
• Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reporting packages, and supporting analyses.
• Support technical accounting research, documentation, and implementation of accounting guidance.
• Partner with leadership on revenue recognition matters, contract review considerations, and other complex accounting transactions.
• Develop, document, and enhance accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Partner with operational and business leaders to support reporting needs, financial analysis, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in ERP enhancements, system implementations, and process transformation projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, CPA is highly preferred
• 6 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing levels of responsibility to include a mix of public accounting and industry desired.
• Experience within SaaS, software industry
