Our facility also qualifies as a high-need area for provider CA State and Federal Loan Repayment Programs.Job DescriptionReports To: Tribal Family Services DirectorFLSA Status: Non-ExemptPosition Function: Non-clinicalClassification: Regular, Full-timeSchedule: Monday – Friday 1.0 FTELocation: Onsite, position may be assigned to work at both IHC locationsGrant End Date: 04/30/2027SUMMARY:The Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault (DV/SA) Program Coordinator will coordinate the administration of the Peace Between Partners program and will provide advocacy, education, prevention, and treatment to victims of DV/SA by performing the following duties:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The information in this job description indicates the general nature and level of work performed. It is not designed to be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties and responsibilities required of employees assigned to this job position. Duties and responsibilities may change (be assigned or removed) at any time with or without notice.1. Plans and administers the delivery of services provided by the DV/SA program in collaboration with the department director and respective grant staff to meet all grant and program goals and objectives.2. Responsible for data collection, writing grant reports and developing policies and procedures for the DV/SA program.3. Establish education, prevention, intervention, and treatment-oriented services to DV/SA consortium including outreach, advocacy, referrals to support groups, workshops, self-defense, conflict resolution and self-esteem classes.4. Establish linkages with DV shelters, courts, law enforcement and accommodations in North San Diego County to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.5. Provides after hours services and assists with the relocation of DV/SA victims and their children to emergency shelters and/or safe houses from a hostile environment with the aid of law enforcement when necessary. Assists with transportation, emergency food and clothing.6. Assists DV/SA victims with obtaining restraining orders and accompanies them to court as needed.7. Collaborates with outside agencies and community organizations for the effective execution of program services.8. Collaborates and consults with other departments within Indian Health Council, Inc. Participates and contributes to case management, collaborative meetings and contributes to case management, collaborative meetings, and Child Protection Team 9CPT) meetings.9. Develops an updated resource library of services available to the community.10. Must be flexible with hours with some weekend and evenings for victim and advocacy services.11. Must complete required DV/SA crisis intervention training within first 3 months from date of hire.12. Provide statistical information as required by policy and procedures. Compliant with all program and grant reporting.13. Position may be re-assigned during activation of EOP.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no supervisory responsibilities.TRAVEL & DRIVING REQUIREMENTSTravel may be required for this position.Driving is required for this position.EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEHigh School Diploma or GED required.A college degree or training in the areas of sociology, psychology or social work preferred.Minimum of two years in a non-profit or health care setting and experience working with victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.Experience in program development, reports, data, and grant writing.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESKnowledge of community and county resources as it relates to position.Knowledge of domestic violence and sexual assault advocacy to provide case management services.Ability to complete data reporting and do presentations.Ability to interpret and translate grant goals and objectives into effective services for the community.Ability to work effectively with team members.Ability to identify problems, use good judgment and recommend solutions.Ability to establish priorities and coordinate work activities.Must be proficient in the following:Productivity Software: Microsoft Office 365; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email & Calendar Management (outlook), Teams (video conferencing and meetings), and Share Point.Electronic health records software (NextGen/QSI preferred).Utilization of Paycom, Relias Learning, and PolicyTech systems.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, MEMBERSHIPS AND REGULATIONS66-hour Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Advocate Training certificate or attain within 3 months of hire.A valid California driver’s license and a good driving record will be required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.Current AED CPR certification or attainment within 6 months of hire.Applicants must successfully pass a pre-employment physical exam, tuberculin skin test or x-ray and urine drug screen test.Health must be adequate to perform all duties of the position.Must pass criminal background check.WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.Indoor office environment.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job position.
