Financial Aid Work Study

The purpose of this position is to support the financial aid team with all aspects of providing guidance to students.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assists students and parents by answering their financial aid questions by phone and walk-ins.
• Performs routine tasks such as scanning and projects of a clerical, and/or administrative nature.
• Provides backup for the financial aid office by taking students payments, printing statements, answering phone calls, etc.

Abilities:

• Ability to handle highly confidential matters and materials with discretion.
• Must have working knowledge of computer software programs such as Word and Excel.
• Ability to learn new software (Jenzabar EX Student Information System).
• Ability to work independently in a team-oriented environment.
• High attention to detail.
• Maintain college GPA that meets or exceeds the IVCCD Standards of Academic Progress.
