Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care in the Emergency Room setting, ensuring rapid and effective response to patient needs. Manages patient assessments, care planning, and coordination with healthcare teams to maintain a safe and efficient emergency care environment.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough assessments and analyze patient data to identify urgent care needs.
• Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Administer medications and treatments following established protocols and standards of care.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and their families on health status, treatments, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate proactively with emergency team members to prioritize and coordinate care delivery.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of two years recent experience in emergency or acute care settings.
• Current BLS certification and ACLS certification from an approved vendor.
• PALS certification preferred.
• EPIC electronic health record experience required.
• Ability to demonstrate effective aggression management techniques; TEAM, CPI, or crisis intervention certification preferred.
