Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours Experience: Minimum years of experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification required - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required - Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or TEAM-A or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required - National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale certification required Must-Have: EPIC experience required Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Collect relevant data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implement the plan and coordinate care delivery. Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward attaining outcomes. Identify outcomes for the patient or the patient’s situation. Collaborate with the team of patient, family, and healthcare providers. Provide learning opportunities for patients, family members, and team members. Directly provide health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties of healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
