LensCrafters is a part of EssilorLuxottica, a global leader in vision care products. We are looking for a Part‑Time EyeCare Advisor to provide outstanding eye‑care experience while supporting our store’s performance and patient satisfaction. General Function The EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value for our customers by delivering the LensCrafters Experience and ensuring all patients receive the highest quality optometric care. The role integrates brand storytelling with flawless execution of the patient experience, linking the doctor and retail functions. Major Duties & Responsibilities Greets customers within 30 seconds. Answers the telephone within 3 rings. Explains paperwork, tests, products, and services. Reviews prescriptions and patient information for details and special needs, consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management as needed. Maintains patience and courtesy with indecisive or difficult customers and patients. Performs work accurately and thoroughly under time pressure and customer volume. Identifies unsatisfied customers and resolves issues quickly. Demonstrates knowledge of appointment booking, scheduling procedures, and computer operation. Maintains patient records in accordance with HIPAA. Places contact‑lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices. Operates the POS system inputting customer/patient and prescription information accurately. Collects proper payment following company security procedures for various transactions. Explains “One‑Hour” processing and expected delivery times. Maintains store appearance and visual displays per company guidelines. Ensures a safe working environment for all associates and patients. Responds promptly to promotion changes with staff communications and marketing materials. Retail Responsibilities Demonstrates product knowledge and accurately describes features and benefits of lenses and frames. Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses appropriate for vision, lifestyle, and budget. Doctor’s Office Responsibilities Pre‑exam testing with accuracy and explains measurements and answers questions. Provides coaching and guidance on contact‑lens care. Manages contact‑lens inventory maintenance and disinfection, and offers clinical support to the Optometrist. Basic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. Strong customer‑service skills. Knowledge of current fashion trends. Strong communication and listening skills. Problem‑solving ability. Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators. Organizational skills. Sales skills. Basic math proficiency. Knowledge of office and store merchandise. Preferred Qualifications Experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical. Strong interpersonal skills.
