Responsibilities Strategic Planning - Supports the Director by developing institute strategic plans, including administrative goals, academic program establishment, grant proposal preparation, business plans, marketing initiatives, and assessment implementation. Sets priorities, assigns responsibilities, monitors goals, evaluates performance, and formulates consistent strategies. Implements operating policies and procedures in compliance with institute policies. Academic Program Development and Administration - Ensures graduate and faculty professional development goals are met. Administers development and implementation of academic programs and new curricula. Collaborates with directors, faculty, and staff on instructional design, psychometric assessment, and outcome measurement. Reports assessment results to Director and Graduate Program Directors for strategic planning. Instructional Design for Graduate Programs - Drives strategy for innovative teaching and learning, leveraging technology. Acts as project manager supporting faculty, ensuring programs meet university standards, and leads planning, design, and implementation of technology for teaching, learning, and research. Provides leadership in emerging technologies, facilitates adoption of technology-rich services, designs learning spaces, and ensures scalable solutions. Research and Grant Administration - Administers research programs and grants, assisting submissions and applications. Monitors budget, provides fiscal reports, liaises with Research Services and Sponsored Program Accounting, and aids in final submission preparation. Marketing and Strategic Planning for Graduate Programs - Develops and executes marketing plans to support enrollment and revenue. Defines success factors, analyzes results, reports performance, plans advertising/promotions across media, ensures budget control, and initiates corrective actions. Assists in strategic initiatives per Director. Fiscal Administration - Manages institute budget operations, including annual budgets for academic, research, sponsored programs, gifts, development, and other resources. Monitors reports, prepares budget and financial statements, implements internal controls, coordinates purchasing, and responds to confidential information needs. Information Systems, Space, and General Department Administration - Ensures seamless operations, manages information systems, space, equipment, and processes. Communicates with administrators, manages department space, assesses usage, oversees IT maintenance, and implements new software and equipment. Maintains web content, layout, and operations. Human Resources Administration - Manages personnel operations: recruitment, interviewing, hiring, orientation, supervision, performance evaluation, and workforce planning. Maintains staff payroll, develops staff positions and performance standards, maintains confidential employee files, and promotes professional development. Computer Skills Basic Computer Skills – MS Office, etc. Qualifications Master’s degree in an educational or administrative-related field desired. Degrees emphasizing instructional design, faculty training, assessment analysis marketing, recruitment management, strategic budget planning, and/or faculty development are ideal. Minimum ten years management experience.
