Dining Operations Manager

Responsibilities Supervise food preparation and service operations to ensure resident enjoyment and satisfaction. Contribute to revenue and operating profit through service implementation and growth opportunities. Ensure safe and efficient food preparation and service delivery across multiple levels of care. Direct daily food service operations, ensuring employees have the necessary equipment, inventory, and resources. Supervise dining room operations, including table service, food bars, and buffet lines. Collaborate with the kitchen team and registered dietitian on food preparation operations. Manage inventory of food, equipment, and dining room supplies. Control costs, comply with budget requirements, and make adjustments as needed. Maintain a clean, neat, and fully stocked dining room environment. Ensure compliance with sanitation guidelines, federal/state regulations, and Senior Living/Healthcare requirements. Train, coach, and mentor staff with a customer‑hospitality orientation. Establish and enforce operating and safety standards. Implement process improvements in food preparation, portioning, garnishing, presentation, and safe storage. Qualifications Required: High school diploma. Preferred: Associate’s degree. Certifications: Food safety certification (renewed every 3 years or as required). CDM licensure preferred; company will sponsor the program within the first 12 months. Experience: 2+ years in dining operations. Preferred: 3+ years of leadership experience. Preferred: Experience in both front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house dining operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Ability Ability to motivate and energize teams. Skill in navigating difficult conversations. Effective interaction with staff and residents to enhance retention and satisfaction. Assist in sourcing, interviewing, training, onboarding, and retaining staff. Build a qualified staff bench to minimize service disruption. Compensation and Benefits Pay Range: $67,295.00 – $93,610.25 per year. Medical, dental, and vision insurance (employer paid).
