Production Coordinator

Production CoordinatorEagle Metalcraft is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Coordinator to support the efficient flow of customer orders through the manufacturing process.The Production Coordinator is responsible for ensuring customer orders are accurately confirmed, documented, and released to production. This position serves as a critical link between Sales, Engineering, Programming, and Manufacturing by creating complete job packets, verifying order information, and ensuring production has everything needed to begin work on schedule.Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesEssential ResponsibilitiesCustomer Order ManagementReview incoming customer purchase orders for completeness and accuracy.Confirm order details with customers when clarification is needed.Verify revisions, quantities, due dates, pricing, and shipping requirements.Communicate discrepancies to Sales or Management for resolution.Job CreationCreate production jobs within the ERP system (JobBOSS).Generate and assemble complete production travelers.Ensure all required documentation is included, including:Customer drawingsInternal printsMaterial requirementsRouting informationSpecial customer instructionsCertifications and quality documentation when applicableOrdering and kitting of hardware for floor productionProduction SupportRelease accurate job packets to the production floor.Coordinate with Programming, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure jobs are ready for release.Monitor pending orders and follow up on missing information.Assist in prioritizing urgent customer requirements.DocumentationMaintain accurate production records.Ensure document revisions are current.File and organize completed job documentation.Support ISO and quality documentation requirements.CommunicationServe as a connection for customers, Sales, Engineering, and Production.Communicate schedule changes or order updates.Escalate potential issues before they impact production.Administration Tasks :Greet and assist all visitors in a professional and courteous manner.Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate personnel.Manage the front desk and maintain a welcoming reception area.Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries.Prepare outgoing mail and coordinate shipping as needed.Monitor visitor sign-in procedures and notify employees of arriving guests.Respond to general inquiries and provide basic company information.This is an evolving position, expected to be able to adapt to new tasks as they are assignedMin CompensationUSD $22.00/Hr.Max CompensationUSD $24.00/Hr.QualificationsRequiredHigh school diploma or GED.2+ years in manufacturing or production administration.Strong computer skills.Excellent organizational abilities.Strong written and verbal communication skills.High attention to detail.Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.PreferredExperience with JobBOSS or another ERP system.Experience reading manufacturing drawings.Familiarity with sheet metal or machining operations.Microsoft Excel proficiency.SkillsOrganizationTime managementCustomer serviceProblem solvingAccuracyTeamworkProfessional communicationMultitaskingPhysical RequirementsPrimarily office environment.Frequent walking to production areas.Ability to lift up to 25lbs occasionally.Prolonged sitting and computer work.Performance MetricsThis role can be measured by:Customer order confirmation turnaround timeJobs released on scheduleTraveler accuracyDocumentation errorsProduction delays caused by paperworkCustomer response timeERP data accuracy
