Locum - Physician - Gastroenterology

McLaren Bay Region is recruiting Gastroenterologists in Bay City, Michigan for 24-hour call coverage. Ongoing need for coverage through 2026. Schedule is Monday 7am - Friday 7pm call, with no weekend call.

• Monday-Thursday: 7am - 7pm (24hr coverage)
• Friday: 7am - 7pm (12hr coverage)
• End dates: Various through September 2026, with potential extensions into 2027
• Start date: 03/01/2026

Qualifications & Requirements:

• ERCP is required
• Hospitalist support available
• Two colorectal surgeons in the community
• GI clinic located less than half a mile from hospital
• Small town atmosphere with big city amenities, waterfront

Travel & Expenses:

• Car, fuel, mileage, and hotel expenses are capped at $150 (including taxes). Rental must be refueled before return.
• Do NOT reimburse Med Staff Fees.
• No lodging through third-party websites (e.g., Expedia, Kayak).
• McLaren is tax-exempt; taxes on lodging are not reimbursed.
• Expenses will adhere to the Travel & Expense policy between McLaren Health Care & AHSA.

Rates to Submit:

• Malpractice insurance rates MUST be included in the hourly rate.
• Orientation rate: 1/2 of the hourly rate for training and online modules.
• On-call (daily rate): 24-hour coverage rate, including 8 hours gratis in-house and night call Monday-Thursday.
• Daily shifts for Friday (7am-7pm): include 4 hours of patient contact.
• Callback rate: applicable after gratis hours are completed.
• Holiday rates applicable for all scheduled holidays.
• Conversion fee as applicable.
