The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and efficiency of the organization’s facilities. This role involves managing a team of maintenance staff, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinating facility operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Management: Manage and train facilities staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintenance Oversight: Plan, coordinate, ensure completeness of maintenance activities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure all facilities meet health, safety, and environmental regulations.

• Budget Management: Participate in developing and managing the facilities budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Vendor Coordination: Manage relationships with external contractors and service providers for specialized maintenance tasks.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines.
• Project Management: Plan and execute engineering projects, coordinating with other departments to meet operational goals.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions and inefficiencies, implementing corrective/preventative actions as needed.
• Reporting: Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance activities, and project status for management review.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma required. Bachelor’s or associate degree preferred
• Experience: 5+ years of experience with mid-to-senior level facilities management or construction management. Preferably in regulated industries such as pharmaceuticals, biotech, or food manufacturing.
• Technical Skills: Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building systems; familiarity with facility automation.
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, communication, and project management abilities.
