Our client, a local civil construction company that has serviced the local area for over 50 years, is seeking a detail-oriented Civil Estimator with 3+ years of experience to join their team. Specializing in civil site work, you will play a vital role in our projects by analyzing blueprints, performing precise quantity takeoffs (Earthworks, Roadways, Drainage, and Utilities), evaluating subcontractor bids, and assembling winning proposals. Location & Details Location: Winter Haven, Florida Job type: Permanent Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 per year Work hours: 8 am to 4 pm Education: No Degree Required Responsibilities Review blueprints, technical specifications, and other project documentation to understand the full scope of work. Accurately measure and quantify the amount of materials, labor, and equipment needed to complete the Earthworks, Roadways, Drainage, and Utilities. Collect and compare quotes from subcontractors and suppliers. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to develop bid strategies, present findings, and make recommendations for cost-saving measures. Assemble all gathered data into a comprehensive and well-organized cost estimate and bid proposal for clients or bidding competitions. Qualifications 3+ years of proven experience in construction and estimating. Understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes within civil site work. Competency with industry-standard estimating and takeoff software such as B2W Estimate, Agtek Gradework, Planswift, and Office Suite.
