Staff Accountant

WORK SITE STATUS: Onsite (5 days/week in the office). PAY RANGE: $75,000 to $90,000 base salary, plus benefits.

JOB DESCRIPTION

CV Resources, in partnership with our financial services client, seeks an experienced Staff Accountant to support the accounting department. This is a full-cycle accounting role covering month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and accounts payable/receivable. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their work, and can operate autonomously with high trust. This role will initially carry a heavy accounts payable workload, so direct full-cycle AP experience is important.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT

GENERAL ACCOUNTING

Provide general full-cycle accounting support, including month-end close and account reconciliations. Prepare and input journal entries and accruals. Manage full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable. Collaborate with the finance team and receive hands‑on training and mentorship from a Staff Accountant on the team. Support ad‑hoc reports and projects as needed.

REQUIREMENTS OF THE STAFF ACCOUNTANT

REQUIRED

Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or related field. Strong, principled general accounting skills. Direct, full-cycle accounts payable experience.

TECHNICAL

Strong hands‑on experience with QuickBooks.
