Description of Responsibilities

• Execute various ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety, clearly reassuring them throughout the procedure
• Work cooperatively with radiologists and referring providers to produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Maintain and operate sophisticated imaging equipment while promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Thoroughly document imaging procedures and manage patient records within the electronic medical system
• Continuously seek advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and adhere to best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field
• Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program preferred

Certifications Required

• Current certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or an equivalent certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is preferred

Skills Needed

• Expertise in sonographic imaging techniques and patient positioning
• Adept communication and interpersonal skills
