Litigation Associate

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will independently handle all phases of litigation, including:

• Drafting and responding to written discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Preparing, drafting, and arguing motions
• Participating in court conferences and oral arguments
• Managing case strategy and day-to-day litigation responsibilities
• Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
• Collaborating with partners and litigation teams on complex matters

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of defense litigation experience
• Admitted to practice in New York
• Superior academic credentials from an accredited law school
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word and Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Compensation

Base Salary Range: $135,000 - $160,000

Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate's experience, skills, and job-related qualifications. Base salary represents just one component of the comprehensive Total Rewards package offered by Kaufman Dolowich, which also includes a discretionary and billable hours-based bonus program and a robust benefits offering for full-time employees.
