Work in a collaborative approach to provide technical support and guidance with students, families, staff and related providers. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned. Must meet applicable SPG and school/district requirements, including fingerprint/background clearance and TB clearance, as applicable. Years of experience, specialties, and geographic regions are all considered when determining salary offers. Requirements Current California Occupational Therapy (OT) license Current California Physical Therapy (PT) license, when the Assistive Technology services provided fall within the scope of physical therapy practice Current California Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license or a valid California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) document authorizing the applicable services, when the Assistive Technology service involves augmentative communication Bachelor's degree in Engineering with an emphasis in Assistive Technology Bachelor's degree in a related field of Engineering plus a graduate certificate in Rehabilitation Technology or Assistive Technology RESNA Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) certification Certificate in Assistive Technology Applications from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution A California credential authorizing special education of physically impaired, orthopedically impaired, or severely impaired pupils Additional Requirements Experience providing Assistive Technology services in a school-based, educational, clinical, or related setting is preferred. Experience with assessment, selection, implementation, and/or training related to Assistive Technology and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) is preferred. Ability to collaborate effectively with students, families, educators, related service providers, and other members of the educational team.
