Role Description The Dispatch Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Dallas, Tx. This position is responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers, planning routes, and monitoring shipments to ensure on-time pickups and deliveries. Daily tasks include updating dispatch systems, entering and verifying shipment data, communicating with drivers and warehouse staff, and responding to customer inquiries regarding shipment status. The role also involves resolving scheduling conflicts, handling service issues, and coordinating with internal teams to maintain accurate records and continuous workflow. The Dispatch Coordinator supports operational efficiency by multitasking in a dynamic environment and maintaining clear, professional communication at all times. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong dispatching skills, including route planning, driver coordination, and real-time problem solving. Candidates should possess effective communication and customer service skills to interact with drivers, internal teams, and customers. Candidates should possess skilled multi-tasker abilities to manage multiple shipments, calls, and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should possess accurate data entry skills and attention to detail for updating dispatch systems and shipment records. Relevant experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch operations is beneficial. Proficiency with dispatch or transportation management software and basic office tools (e.g., email, spreadsheets) is preferred. Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work on-site in Dallas, Tx are required.
