This is a 1st shift, full-time position. The Tool Room Machinist will be responsible for job duties in the Tool & Die department.Core ResponsibilitiesAbility to read and interpret detailed drawings.Produce details, components, drawings or concepts.Set up, adjust and operate all basic Tool room machines, tools and many specialized or advanced variations tools.Understand, Monitor and control cutting feed rate and speeds.Follow safety rules and regulationsMulti-tasking ability to work on multiple jobs at one time.Build, maintain, gages and fixtures (welding, part checking, machining)Knowledge of different types of steels. Proper cutting feeds and speeds for each.Knowledge of tool steel heat treatingKnowledge of Tool room measuring equipment (mics, calipers, depth mics, height gage, etc...)Safety prioritizationMaintain a clean and orderly work areaMaintain department's perishable toolingAny other tasks assigned by the Tool Room CoordinatorEducation, Experience, Skills, and QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredAbility to work with little or no supervisionAbility to identify process reduction ideas on each job as assignedAble to perform part / gage layout to determine repairs neededCrane operation and functionCNC programming / operationAbility to generate detail prints from concepts or reverse engineering existing componentsJourneyman's card or equivalent a plusWire EDM programing and operation experience a plus (with the opportunity to learn)Employment with Eberhard Manufacturing is "at-will", meaning that either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice, in accordance with Ohio law.Eberhard Manufacturing Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
