Registered Nurse NICU

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care for critically ill neonatal patients in the Level III NICU, with responsibilities tailored to surgical cases and advanced respiratory support. Ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of neonatal patients through expert clinical practices.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to neonatal patients in a surgical intensive care environment.
• Administer medications, respiratory therapies, and advanced interventions such as PICC line placement and bronchoscopy assistance.
• Monitor patient vital signs, neurological status, and respiratory function, and document findings accurately.
• Collaborate with medical team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Follow strict protocols for infectious control, safety, and equipment management.
• Educate families and caregivers on post-discharge care and medical procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid California RN license and pass Nursys verification within the last 2 weeks.
• Possess at least 1 year of recent experience working in a NICU or pediatric ICU setting.
• Certified in BLS and NRP, with certifications from AHA or ARC current and valid.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all respiratory support modalities, line insertions, and neonatal assessment.
• Capable of working 3 x 12-hour night shifts with no call requirement and adhering to float policies.
• Maintain compliance with all hospital and travel regulations, including timely submission of required documents.
