RN Clinic

This position is for an RN in a fast-paced cardiology clinic. The clinic sees patients every 15 minutes. Typical patient types include adults with conditions such as CHF, chest pain, and pulmonary hypertension. Post-procedural care includes patients recovering from Cath Lab procedures, CABG, and valve replacements. Providing patient education is essential. The RN should be able to enter orders and manage in-basket communications. Phone triage of patients with abnormal labs is required. The RN will occasionally administer IV dobutamine for stress tests. Rooming patients and obtaining EKGs may be part of the responsibilities. Placing Holter and event monitors is expected, but training will be provided if needed. Support within the department includes Medical Assistants, LPNs, patient service representatives, and nursing leadership. The unit utilizes electronic medical record software, specifically EPIC. Equipment includes IV pumps and various monitoring devices. There is no floating to other locations. The schedule consists of Monday to Friday, with rotating half days off each week. Scrub colors should be any solid professional hue, without graphics or logos.
