Production Technician 1This position reports to the Shift Coach and is located in the Plant Facility. The job holder will be fully trained, fully competent, and experienced in satisfying all of the requirements of the named task. This position is also responsible for the safe and clean operation of activities within their area of responsibility.Benefits include 401(k), 401(k) matching, dental insurance, vision insurance, health insurance, employee assistance program, flexible schedule, flexible spending account, HSA account, short term & long term disability, life insurance, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, partial gym reimbursement, and paid holidays.Essential responsibilities include following proper work instruction procedures, coordinating production with the Shift Coach, ensuring proper production security, maintaining equipment, operating and maintaining a forklift, sampling product, performing sanitation, following GMP and other quality processes, and performing other duties as assigned.Minimum qualifications include the ability to work in a food manufacturing environment and previous food industry experience is preferred. Knowledge, skills, and abilities include adaptability, communication, independent work capability, recordkeeping, and basic understanding of laboratory testing equipment.Materials and equipment directly used include forklifts, manufacturing equipment, office machinery, and granular sugar in totes or bags.Physical demands include prolonged standing, bending, stooping, climbing, eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, lifting up to 75+ pounds, and exposure to machines, chemicals, and solvents. The work environment can be hot, humid, dusty, or cold depending on the time of year and employees may be required to work in or outside of the building.
