Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an Operating Room RN with 3+ years of experience and SC or compact RN license for a 13-week acute care assignment.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital with 119 staffed beds,
• Operating Room unit performing general surgical procedures,
• 5x8-hour day shift schedule (6:45am-3:15pm),
• Weekend coverage required, typically every 4th weekend,
• On-call responsibilities per rotation, weekday call hours 3pm-7am,
• Float within scope to like units or sister facilities as needed,
• Uses Epic charting system,
• Utilizes Da Vinci Xi Surgical System and Hana Table,

Job Requirements

• Active SC or compact RN license required in hand prior to start,
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required,
• 3+ years of OR nursing experience required,
• Prior travel nursing experience required,
• Experience with a range of surgical specialties including gynecology, orthopedics, general surgery, neurology, urology, podiatry, and ophthalmology procedures,
• Two professional references required for consideration,

Additional Information

• Provide perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties,
• Surgical scrubs provided by facility,
• During hurricane season (June-November), all staff may be assigned to emergency response teams,
• Candidates must live within 60 miles or be considered under local candidate terms,
• Previous MUSC staff (including PRN) must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler,
