Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Real Estate Analyst provides companywide strategic, analytical and technical support for BI activities. Will act as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community. Will provide leadership to both department and sector analytical associates. Heavily involved in the development and successful delivery of Power BI dashboards, reports, data integrity, master data management and data governance. A typical day involves supporting end user questions through direct communication, data validation, enhancing and developing new content primarily delivered through Power BI. Come in on the ground floor to deploy a Multifamily analytics solution niche to the Multifamily industry.

Candidates should be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to think outside of the box. You should have experience working in Power BI. Advanced knowledge of Excel, the ability to think on your feet, and the desire to work in a constantly evolving environment. Be prepared to immerse yourself in visualization, end user interactions and data governance.

E ssential functions include (but are not limited to):

• Assistance with financial pipeline – new acquisitions and refinances
• Coordinates initial underwriting materials to ownership for asset/portfolio acquisitions
• Identify sources of data, analyze quality and utility of data, use various tools to ingest data, and apply transformation logic to present datasets for consumption in reports and visualizations
• Support budgeting/forecasting for properties
• Update monthly reports to monitor performance through historical and budget comparisons
• Special project analysis – Analyzing and assist with implementing new business strategies/programs roll outs
• Assist in determining quarterly and annual performance metrics for presentations, for public REIT, and private investments portfolios
• Utilizing industry market/submarket and economic research through Axio/CBRE/Costar resources for reporting and presentations

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• 3 years of REIT, Multi-Family or Real Estate experience
• BA/BS degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
• Competent excel skills; Experience in pivot tables and model building that rely on connecting multiple large datasets and different sources
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Model Creation
• Development of queries, reports and financial or operational analyses models
• Ability to source information from various market research organizations
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong work ethic, pride in work, team orientation, acute attention to detail and desire to learn.
• Ability to work under tight timeframes and balancing multiple assignments

Desired Skills:

• Yardi and SQL familiarity
• Familiar with Real Estate Business Analytics (REBA)
