Aircraft Painter

Aircraft PainterBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking an Aircraft Painter to support the Decorative Paint Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable shift.Position Responsibilities:Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for paintingMakes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraftApplies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sectionsThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Availability to work variable shifts, with the understanding that your assigned shift will not be confirmed until after training1+ years of painting experience in aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general paintingRequired to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masksAbility to walk constantly throughout the workday; stand 6-8 hours per day; climb or work from stairs/steps up to 8 hours per day; climb ladders; bend and twist frequently up to six hours per day; squat and kneelAbility to carry/lift up to 10-35 pounds.Ability to work with High Hazard ChemicalsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):3+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience3+ year aircraft painting experience or automotiveConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
