Attorney: Charities Bureau, Enforcement Section (3880)

Applicants should be committed to public service, interested in developing expertise in this field, and willing to engage in high level and challenging civil investigations and litigation. The attorney selected for this position can expect to have substantial opportunities and responsibilities for written and oral advocacy and direct involvement in developing and implementing case strategy. Applicants should have a minimum of three (3) years of litigation experience, including experience in complex litigation and electronic discovery. Applicants must also possess excellent research, analytical, communication, and organizational skills, and write clearly and persuasively. Experience taking depositions, arguing motions, and preparing for and examining witnesses at trial is a plus. Additionally, applicants should be dedicated and motivated attorneys who can work independently and interact with a diverse group of colleagues, members of the public, and other government regulators. Applicants must reside in (or intend to soon become a resident of) New York state and be admitted to practice law in New York state. In addition, the Public Officers Law requires that OAG attorneys be citizens of the United States.
