Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Outpatient

Licensed Vocational Nurse Outpatient Clinic / Urgent Care

Schedule: Weekends are not required. Floating may be needed as needed. Maximum requested time off is 7 days, with no time off permitted within the first 2 weeks of the assignment.

Assignment Details: This position requires 40 hours of orientation. The daily census, room count, and bed count are not specified.

Requirements:

• Active California LVN license with no pending licenses
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC only)
• IV certification & Blood draw / Phlebotomy certification
• EKG competency
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting
• Experience with Epic charting system is required
• Key clinical skills: IV starts and maintenance, phlebotomy, obtaining 12-lead EKGs, vaccine administration, IM/SQ injections, vital signs, basic wound care, telephone triage, and medication reconciliation

Responsibilities:

• Provide patient care and support in an outpatient clinic or urgent care setting
• Assist with various clinical procedures and patient assessments
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Epic
• Administer medications and vaccines as required
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care

Compliance / Notes: Locals are accepted, but a reduced local rate may apply. Temporary RN/LVN licenses are not accepted; a permanent California license must be submitted with application. Background/license hits must be fully closed before submission.
