Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be working within a creative packaging company, focusing on mechanical and electrical maintenance. You are expected to have over 5 years of experience in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot packaging equipment
• Conduct electrical troubleshooting and wiring up to 480V motors.
• Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives.
• Troubleshoot PLCs and use HMI programs.
• Perform mechanical troubleshooting on hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Replace, troubleshoot, and repair photo eyes.
• Conduct MIG and TIG welding and fabrication.
• Utilize MRP system for maintenance tasks.

Essential Skills

• Experience in electrical troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in preventive maintenance.
• Knowledge of wiring, welding, PLC, HMI, VFD, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with 480V electrical systems.
• Expertise in PLC troubleshooting (inputs/outputs).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in working with operators.
• GMP knowledge.
• Welding skills.
• Wiring knowledge.

Work Environment

Work in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility spanning 200,000 sq. ft., equipped with packaging machines, conveyors, and processing machines. Enjoy flexible shifts with opportunities for overtime: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts are available Monday through Saturday, totaling 50-55 hours.

This is a Permanent position based out of Portage, IN.

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $79040.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
