Medical Director of Primary Care Services – Providence, RI

We are seeking an experienced Medical Director of Primary Care Services to provide clinical leadership across a network of community-based Primary Care practices in Providence, RI. This role combines physician leadership, clinical strategy, quality improvement, and direct patient care.

About This Position:

• Full-Time leadership opportunity
• Reports to the Chief Medical Officer
• Lead and mentor physicians and clinical teams
• Oversee Primary Care services across multiple locations
• Develop and implement clinical strategies
• Lead quality improvement initiatives
• Support clinical program development and redesign
• Partner with executive leadership on clinical operations and growth
• Approximately 0.2–0.4 FTE direct patient care

Requirements:

• MD or DO
• Board Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or another Primary Care specialty
• Active Rhode Island medical license or eligible for licensure
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience
• Minimum 3 years of progressive physician leadership experience
• Experience mentoring and developing physicians and clinical teams
• Experience using healthcare data and performance metrics
• Strong clinical, operational, and leadership skills
