Description

American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for a 13-week night shift assignment, requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Details

Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) providing care to patients recovering from surgical or procedural anesthesia

Monitor and manage patients immediately following anesthesia to ensure safety and comfort during initial recovery

Third shift schedule, Thursday-Saturday 7p-7a

36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts

Requirements

Active, unrestricted RN license (KY or compact) required

BLS certification required

ACLS certification and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required

ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred

No prior experience required, though previous nursing experience is preferred

Ability to assess age-specific patient safety needs and implement appropriate safety devices

Additional Information

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans based on the nursing process

Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching

Communicate and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary care team members

Delegate and oversee patient care tasks performed by other team members

Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measure initiatives
