About This Role
Vicar’s Landing is seeking friendly, professional Waitstaff / Barstaff to support food and beverage service across our dining areas, Member’s Lounge, and special functions. This role provides both table service and bar service while maintaining high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism. Waitstaff / Barstaff play an important role in creating a welcoming and enjoyable experience for members and guests. Due to the nature of retirement communities, tipping is prohibited on our campuses.

 

What You’ll Do

·         Prepare and serve alcoholic and non‐alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards

·         Provide gracious table and bar service by taking orders, delivering food and beverages, and responding to requests courteously

·         Maintain accurate member charges, complete daily beverage usage logs, and assist with liquor inventory and ordering

·         Set up, clean, and maintain dining room, Member’s Lounge, and bar areas before, during, and after service

·         Communicate menu selections, drink specials, and guest requests clearly and accurately

·         Complete assigned side work, stocking, and cleaning duties in a timely manner

·         Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary workstations in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards

·         Follow all community policies, attendance standards, hygiene requirements, and uniform guidelines

 

Skills You Need

Must Have Skills

·         Must be at least 18 years of age

·         Ability to read, write, and speak English, perform simple arithmetic, and follow verbal instructions

·         Fundamental understanding of hospitality, customer service, table service, and professional presentation

·         Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and stand for extended periods

·         Ability to work courteously and cooperatively with members, guests, and team members

·         Ability to work efficiently in a fast‐paced dining and bar environment

Nice to Have Skills

·         Prior waitstaff or bartending experience

·         Ability to successfully complete required responsible vendor or alcohol service certification

·         Experience working in senior living, club, or hospitality environments

Education: Degree not required if you have relevant skills or experience.

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $16.00 – $18.50/HR
(Range depends on experience, skills, shift, and location)
