Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist (San Francisco)

Position Description

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) is recruiting a board‑certified or board‑eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join our Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine. Qualified candidates must be board‑certified/eligible in OBGYN and Maternal‑Fetal Medicine at the time of hire. The successful candidate will have training and clinical experience in antepartum service coverage, labor and delivery, obstetrical ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis procedures, and perinatal consultation. Excellent communication skills and the ability to function in a consultative role are required. Faculty rank and salary are based upon qualifications and experience; the minimum base salary range for this position is $131,200–$344,400, with eligibility for additional compensation in the health sciences compensation plan.

Teaching of medical students, residents, and clinical fellows is included. Opportunities exist to participate in clinical research through the University of California Fetal Maternal Consortium, the Preterm Birth Initiative, the Center for Maternal‑Fetal Precision Medicine, and the Center for Complex Obstetric Medicine. The Division is part of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Units Network, providing opportunities to contribute to MFMU studies. Advances in genetics and genomics across the Department and the University, including prenatal genetics, further complement clinical opportunities.
