Who We're Looking For

This position provides global pre-sales technical leadership and support in the identification, creation, and integration of solutions and strategies within a given solution area. Incumbents work with Sales to identify opportunities, providing technical support throughout the sales process, focusing on sales closures. They are responsible for communicating and working with Proposal and Technology teams to respond to RFXs as needed including creating documentation such as State of Work and Network designs. They liaise with product managers to provide feedback and input into business requirements for future products and releases, enhancements, or customized solutions. As operational issues arise, they will bring them to the attention of Customer Support and Operations. They will identify customer needs and product gaps in the Company's existing portfolio and work with senior-level Solutions Engineers to define solutions.

Some of What You'll Do

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• 60 % Provide technical pre-sales subject matter expertise and sales support to global account teams throughout all stages of the sales cycle for a defined product set.
• Develop and present to customers technical system solutions and associated sales proposals.
• Act as the principal liaison on behalf of Sales with other parts of the organization regarding technical solutions associated with an opportunity in a defined solution area.
• Assist in closing complex technical sales for a defined product set.
• Provide frontline technical support in sales presentations, product demonstrations and system installations.
• Drive customer /market requirements back to senior Solutions Engineer, influencing product investment plans and roadmaps.
• 20 % Responsible for helping to achieve and exceed sales targets within assigned solution set.
• Develop solution-specific "Attack Plans" for global customer segments.
• Execute ongoing customer competitive analyses and market studies.
• Assist sales team as technical lead in pursuit of identified revenue opportunities.
• 10 % Prepare and deliver presentations for their assigned product/subject area at industry meetings, user groups and trade shows.
• Participate on product teams for defined solution set to provide input to team concerning customer needs, market information and competitive insight. 100 % Total Time

Job Requirements

BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Marketing (or equivalent job-related experience) Typically 2-5 years general business experience including: Developing and managing product portfolios; and/or Proven success in organizational / technical leadership positions; and/or Telecommunications industry or related technology background Pre-sales engineering or sales support experience desirable A working knowledge of their assigned solution area; technical knowledge of multiple Syniverse products; general knowledge of Syniverse product portfolio and its values/benefits to the market Strong leadership, analytical and organization skills Strong understanding of financial principals and financial analysis skills Excellent written and verbal communications skills Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Excel Strong public speaking abilities

Working Conditions

Travel will vary, but may be up to 50% and includes international travel
