Adjunct Faculty, Computer Science

Position Summary Franklin University, a private, independent, accredited, not-for-profit university located in Columbus, Ohio, invites applicants for its Adjunct Faculty – Computer Science positions. The role’s primary responsibility is providing quality instruction and maintaining a positive learning environment with an emphasis on teaching, supporting, and evaluating students. Courses COMP 620: Analysis of Algorithms COMP 691: Capstone for Master's in Computer Science AI 603: AI Programming Duties and Responsibilities Teach courses in the discipline. Maintain attendance records and determine and submit grades within established university timeframes. Create a welcoming, inclusive, and productive learning environment. Support the resolution of student issues related to course instruction. Provide feedback on what is working and not working with the course. Participate in all department meetings and required training. Engage in personal professional development. Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Faculty. Minimum Requirements / Qualifications Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computing Engineering, Software Engineering, AI, or a closely related field. Commitment to collaborative and collegiate relationships. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Knowledge of higher education regulations, compliance, and accrediting agencies. Computer proficiency. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate professionally and work effectively with faculty, staff, students, and members of the professional community. Excellent multi‑tasking skills. Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Preferred Skills and Characteristics Previous teaching experience.
