Position Title Student Services Specialist – Financial Aid Counselor Location Main UNCW Campus Compensation Salary Range: $43,940 – $48,823 Responsibilities The Financial Aid Counselor administers all financial aid programs and ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. This position advises, counsels, and educates students, prospective students, and their families regarding financial eligibility. Administer financial aid programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional rules, regulations, and requirements. Advise, counsel, and educate students, prospective students, and families on financial aid options. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Preferred Competencies Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid requirements. Financial aid experience. Excellent interpersonal skills. Experience with crisis management. Excellent communication skills. Experience with Banner (or other ERP systems), Image Now/Perceptive Content/Softdocs, and Department of Education systems.
