Position Summary The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is seeking a Lead Acquisition Program Management Specialist (001698341M) for the Air Launched Cruise Missile Program Office (AFNWC/NDM) at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. This NH‑1101‑03 position offers a 2026 salary range of $89,508 – $138,370, with recruitment, relocation, retention, and student‑loan incentives potentially authorized. Candidates must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS‑12 level or equivalent. Specialized Experience Experts in program management who have assessed project progress via cost estimates, schedules, and performance supportability baselines; planned, organized, and coordinated contracting, engineering, manufacturing, program control, configuration/data management, testing, financial management, or logistics processes; reviewed contractors’ progress to meet program objectives; and prepared briefings, studies, and presentations for management officials and stakeholders. Duties Lead, plan, organize, direct, and coordinate activities of functional specialists including contracting, engineering, manufacturing, program control, configuration/data management, test, and logistics. Review the progress of contractors in meeting program objectives and delivering capability on cost and schedule. Represent the organization at executive levels within the government and to contractor/industry representatives. Prepare, present, defend, and interpret staff studies to the Program Director and/or other management officials. Identify and resolve highly complex problems crossing organizational boundaries and promulgate solutions. Skills Knowledge of acquisition management policies, practices, regulations, and laws. Understanding of the missions, roles, functions, and organizational structures of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and related entities. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to plan, organize, lead, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. Requirements U.S. citizenship. Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Meet DAWIA requirements, including achieving Program Management "Practitioner" certification within the required timeframe after appointment.
